I found a dollar bill while walking up to buy the movie tickets. Since Chris and I don't count paper money, this will not be added to the total. Although it got me thinking that after I reach $100, I might start to count paper money. After the movie I found 1 penny while walking to my truck.
As for the movie, I really enjoyed it, and thought that it was a much more like the book than the 1971 film. Johnny Depp did an excellent job, and I always enjoy films by Tim Burton. And even though this version is a bit more true to the book and doesn't make you feel like you should be on acid, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.
While I was watching the movie, I noticed something, it is a story about CHANGE SEARCHING. Charlie is walking down the street, head down and checking out the parking spots next to the road, when he finds some money, which he uses to buy some candy, which gets him a golden ticket! All he needs is a blog site and a Not Change Cup, and he's ready to join the race!
Total for the Day - $0.01
Total for the Race - $35.94

A few thoughts:
- So you're sticking to the race rules even though it has been won?
- Good call on the change-finding in the movie.
- I've always thought movie theaters would be good for finding coins and lost items. I want to get a job on the cleanup crew someday.
- My not-change cup, which I rarely, if ever, mention, is actually a glass boot that Liza and I call the Texas boot for some reason.
Being in the know, with all my sources, I know who dies in the Harry Potter book. Of course, I won't share unless Marti needs to know.
