Day 415

Even though I have done it for a few years now, living in Texas, the whole "Spring Forward" time change REALLY screwed me up last night. I just couldn't get to sleep. I was up until 4 am! So was Marti, except she decided to call in sick to work. I felt I really couldn't do that, since I called in fake sick on Friday.

During my lunch, I had to go pick up some things, and I met Chris at Sonic for lunch. He got there before me, and while chatting with him on the cellie, he said, "Hey, I found a nickel and a penny next to my car." I proceeded to tell him that since I was probably going to go home and crash, due to lack of sleep, he had to leave the patio for me. He responded with, "Hey, I just found a quarter." I responded by hanging up on him!

Thankfully I found a 1980 dime under one of the benches in the patio, giving me a find for the day, and stopping Chris from getting the Sonic Change Cycle.

I finished Confessions of a Street Addict by Jim Cramer. It was a very good read, and I really enjoyed it. He did an excellent job of showing what the life of a hedge fund director was like, and what it was like to bring a company through an IPO during the late 90's. My only problem is that I felt that I was in Cramer OVERLOAD while I was reading this book, since I normally watch his TV Show, Mad Money, everynight and I listen to his radio show, Real Money, on my iPod while I'm jogging.

My new book is curtsey of Chris, Hard Sell by Jamie Reidy. He read it about 2 weeks ago and said that I had to read it, so he let me borrow it. It is about a guy who is a Pfizer sales rep and mainly his tales of trying to get out of as much work as possible, something I can truly admire. What is interesting is that he was a rep in South Bend, Indiana, which is where one of my best friends works in pharmaceutical sales for competitor of Pfizer. It is very funny, and a VERY easy read. It is only about 1210 pages long, and even though I started the book on Friday afternoon, I am already on page 120! And even though the subtitle of the book is The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman, he has yet to even mention Viagra, let alone detail stories of how he sold it!

Total for the Day - $0.10
Total for the Race - $169.64

1,210 pages long? I didn't remember it being that long!

I told you it is a good book. He mentions very little about work, except for how to avoid it.

Sorry about that. It is 210 pages long.

If you watched Mad Money last night, you know who Cramer's rooting for. Then, if you read the book, it's probably obvious anyway.

Go Phillies

I missed Mad Money last night.

What do you mean "Rooting For"? What is he rooting about?

I'm an idiot, I just read the bottom of your comment, and realized that Cramer is rooting for the Phillies, his hometown team.

Disregard the braindead man!

Dr. Kon is out of the office now!
