Day 107

On the way home from the Astros game, I found 1 penny at Sonic. Then while picking up dinner at Kroger, I found a nickel in a Coke machine, in the coin return slot.

It's nice that in this crazy world, some things never change. On Memorial Day and Labor Day, people will always wear awful looking shirts with the American flag all over it, and the Astros will lose another Roger Clemens start.

Total for the Day - $0.06
Total for the Race - $25.85

I was at that game and didn't see Roger Clemens pitch. I did notice that "The Rocket" was there, and he lost.

For those of you not in the know, Roger Clemens apparently went ape last year and demanded that all broadcasters, media, and teammates refer to him as "The Rocket." Whatever makes him happy, I guess.

He didn't quite go ape.

I have some friends that work for the Astros. They said that when Clemens was being introduced to team management he was introduced to head of broadcasting. The guy said, "Great to have you on the team Roger!"
Clemens replied, "Thanks. But please refer to me as The Rocket".

The guy thought he was kidding, but found out that Rocket had said the same thing to MANY people in the organization!
