On the way to work this morning, I stopped off at Wendy's for the first time since the Park/Reverse Fiasco. Today I decided to play it safe and park the car, and walk over to the drive-thru. Good news is that there were no truck related issues, bad news is that there was no change.
While at work today I found 2 dimes about 6 feet from a vending machine. It looks like they were dropped near the vending machine and bounced away from the machine. I guess the lazy person who dropped them didn't have the energy to bend over a pick them up. Since Houston is normally near the top of the list when it comes to Fattest US City, it is possible that the person was to large to bend over to pick them.
Much like Chris has thought about keeping track of heads/tails coins left on the ground, I think about Fat vs Slim cities. Do you think that people in a fat city (Houston) are less likely to pick up change then people from a fit city? The rational being that out of shape people are probably a bit more lazy and less likely to put in the extra effort to pick up change on the ground. Plus there are those that have amassed such a personal girth, that it has become an impossibility to bend over and pick up change off the ground.
Late find - While taking out the garbage, I found 1 penny in the apartment complex parking lot.
Total for the Day - $0.21
Total for the Race - $47.05

Add to the fact that everyone is fat that the temperature is so hot and I think that if people did try to pick up their change they might have a stroke! Let's hear it for Fat City USA.
Yeah for spammers. I've started going to those site and flagging them. It looks like you'll have to disallow anonymity too to stop the crap.
