Day 210

On the way to work this morning I stopped off at the North Freeway Car Wash and found 1 dime and 6 pennies. Then while at work, I found 1 dime near an empty desk.

After heading over to a friends house for a BBQ and to watch the Texas vs OSU game (Which lived up to much of the hype), I decided to do a little bit of change searching. Hitting the South Chick-Fil-A, I found 1 quarter, 5 dimes, 1 nickel and 8 pennies, giving me the change cycle all in one place. Then at the nearby Starbucks I found 1 quarter, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 6 pennies, giving me another change cycle in one stop.

At this point, I figured that with my early luck, I had a shot at beating my all-time daily high. At the A&W I found 1 quarter, 1 nickel and 6 pennies. I also went to JR's Car Wash, McDonald's and Jack in the Box, where I found 3 dimes, 1 nickel and 10 pennies.

Then in my final stop of the night (Well the final stop before midnight....more on the rest of the stops tomorrow), I found 1 quarter and 2 pennies at the nearby Starbucks. This brought my daily total to the all-time high for the race, surpassing Day 29. The astouding 12 dimes is also a new daily high for the race.

Total for the Day - $2.78 - Change Cycle - New Daily High
Total for the Race - $53.51

Congrats on the new daily high and the 12 dime find. Of course this pales in comparison to the 17 dimes that I found on August 7th, but good job anyway!

If you were to find paper money would you count that? Last Monday while out for my walk I found $9 right there on the sidewalk! I was just telling my boyfriend how I have been finding all kinds of change and such lately, I think maybe I should start to keep track of it! Thanks for the inspiration, I think I will put it towards my retirement!
