While I was picking some groceries I thought a saw a penny, but it was (as Chris put it) a false start. It was a little copper colored disc which came from one of those new purses that are covered with the discs. I only mention it because this is not the first time that I have been duped by one of these discs. This trend in fashion is not helpful to my change finding. Now if the purse was covered in pennies or quarters, then I would be all for it! But since this is not the case, these new purses can NOT be endorsed by The Change Race!

I suffered (almost) the same problem today. By the taco stand I though I saw about 50 pennies on the ground. Sadly, they were little copper looking caps from fireworks. What a hearbreaker!
