Day 364

I found 1 penny down at Minute Maid Park in the main concourse while I was there with Chris for Astros Fan Fest.

I found 2 pennies near a vending machine at Kroger, and while picking up lunch for Marti, I found 2 pennies in the drive-thru at Wendy's.

The 2 pennies at Wendy's were both minted in 2006. I don't know if this is my first 2006 find of the year, because I haven't been checking up to this point. But since I haven't done the checking, I have to assume that it is. So I lose the 2006 race to Brian and Chris by days!

Tonight Marti and I went over to a friend's house to play some Texas No Limit Poker. We were supposed to bring a dessert, so Marti made my favorite, a cookie cake! Check out the design that she put together (Although, I must add, that I did fill in the icing on the cards, and did the letters on the cards).

Total for the Day - $0.05
Total for the Race - $101.64

Survivor Update

I must admit up front that I have been busy the past few days, so I don't have a full Survivor Update. But I will say that I like the day that the season is progressing, and for some reason, I really like Bruce. It might be because I love the Karate Kid movies, and he is a living & breathing Mr. Miagi. Marti and I are still going hard with our crushes. And I can't believe that they let the smoker stay. Once somebody says they want to quit, it is only a matter of time before they do. If I was in his alliance, I would dump him NOW, because he is only going to punk out on you when you need him the most!

If they let that quitter (of the smoking and Survivor type) stay much longer I think I might be done with the season. Something about him, and his alliance, drives me nuts. I especially didn't like how he says, 'Oh, I'm changing my mind, so someone else is going to have to go.' and then that dolt says 'Well, we're together, and I want a strong team, so it's going to be one of you middle-aged women.' I hope that if I ever get on Survivor I wouldn't ever be like that. That's poor playing on many levels, most importantly the human level.

Brian - I TOTALLY agree. The Smoker really grates my nerves. I couldn't IMAGINE being on an island with him.

And while I agree that it was bad playing, one of those ladies needed to stand up during tribal. Instead of doing the "we all contribute" stuff. She should have just said that they should dump the Smoker from the allinance, since he tried to QUIT. I would have gone ape-shit, saying that if they wanted a bi-polar quitter over me, then they were crazy!
