Day 418

This morning I found 1 penny at Taco Bell and 3 pennies at Wendy’s.

Sorry the posts have been so short this week. It has been an unbelievably busy week for me between work, Astros games and TONS of things moving on eBay.

Tomorrow is also a big day for me, as I have an interview for a job in St. Louis (They are flying down to meet me!). You might be wondering why I am looking to move from Texas, well since Marti and I are both from the Midwest, then plan has always been that after a few years, we would move back a bit closer to family. Well, that time is coming. So be thinking good thoughts for Bailey tomorrow, because this job would be PERFECT in so many ways. More details to come.

I finished this book in only 4 days, probably very close to a record for me. It was a fun and easy read about a guy who liked to sleep in and skip work, two things I can respect. What I found funny was the front cover of the book said that he was a Viagra salesman and that he was the #1 Pfizer sales rep in the country. Well he didn’t mention Viagra until 2/3 into the book, and he was an awful rep throughout most of the book, but on the last page he suddenly jumped to #1, even though he had quit Pfizer. Still an enjoyable read.

My new book is Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, by John Perkins. Even though I am only a few pages in, I get the feeling that I am either going to love this book or have to stop reading it halfway through. Once again, the details on the outside of the book are misleading. On the back cover it talks about rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex and murder! Juicy! But so far the book has been mostly a critique of the current economic system, and how bad our policies are for the rest of the world. COME ON! I don’t want your thoughts about how bad the system is, or how we need to change our ways. I was Economic Hit Man stories, tons of extortion and sex! We shall see.

Total for the Day - $0.04
Total for the Race - $170.63
