The Chinese Wrapping Paper

This week I made one stop at the Scrubby Duck and found 1 dime and 3 pennies. I also found 2 pennies at the check-out counter at Schnuck's.

On Thursday, Marti and I went to Target to get a wedding shower gift and wrapping paper for a co-worker of Marti's.

When we happy that we were getting a nice roll of wrapping paper, because we have three wedding to go to this summer season, and it is nice that we re-use the rest of this wrapping paper for those gifts.

When we got home and opened up the wrapping paper, we found that it was not one roll of wrapping paper, as is normally the case. Rather is was two pieces of wrapping paper taped together. And the tape had some crazy Chinese writing on it.

You can see a close-up of the tape. If anybody has any idea what this says, I would be interested to know. I hope it isn't like the Simpsons episode where Bart opens up a Krusty toy, and gets stung by a bug from Japan, and gets sick, and then has to be in a bubble for the rest of the episode!

You can see from the last two pictures, they didn't even do a good job of taping the pieces together! (If you click on the picture, you should get an enlarged image) There was a gap, and the wrapping paper had noticeable scratches on it. It was almost like we were buying second hand Chinese wrapping paper!

We thought about trying to return it to Target, but seriously, who would believe this story? So we just used a "clean" part for our present (We got them Apples to Apples, a great game) and threw the rest away. Interesting, to say the least!

Total since last post - $0.15
Total for the Race - $221.63

Hey! Just thought I'd say hello as we are two coin finders. I recently started a blog somewhat similar to yours www.cheapgreenandhappy.blogspot.com. Keep searching.
