My Aunt and Uncle live in the South of France, but still have an apartment in Paris, so we had a free place to stay. We have been saying we were going to do this for years, and in September, I figured that there was no time like the present, so I got the plane tickets. We had an AMAZING time.
I also made my first change finds in another country. In Montpellier (Where my Aunt and Uncle live) I found 2 one cent Euro pieces. Although, I didn't know, but my Aunt was a change finder at heart, and found 1 Euro and a 10 cent Euro coin at a gas station and on the street. Nothing like getting beat out by your Aunt, but I must say, she had my number!
When we got back to Paris, I found a 10 cent Euro and 2 one cent Euros at the Eiffel Tower. All told I found 0.14 Euros, which is approx $0.21. I am going with the same rules as Chris, and these numbers will not count toward the totals.
But on the way home I did find some coins that will count toward the totals. While waiting around O'Hare Airport in Chicago, I found 3 pennies in a jet-lagged fog. Then on the flight out of Chicago, I found a quarter on the plane, under the seat across the aisle.
Finally I leave you with some Grover in Paris pictures. We got this idea from Chris, to take pictures of a stuffed animal where ever you go. Makes for fun souvenirs. Chris uses a money, we use Super Grover!
Total since last post - $0.28
Total for the Race - $258.66

Glad the trip went well - the grover pictures are awesome.
Brian - Thanks for sticking around. I know I haven't been the best poster in the last few months. I'm hoping that is going to change.
