Day 8

I took a walk over to the gas station across the street, and on the way out of the apartment complex, I found 2 pennies. Then at the gas station, I found a dollar bill in a puddle. It was an awesome find, but as stated by the rules of the race, bills do not count toward the total. Chris and I decided that it wouldn't be fair to count bills, because someone could get a huge lead if they happened to find a ten or twenty. So I'm one dollar richer, but the count does not reflect it.
I thought that my change search was done for the day, but it turned out that our Sunday night trip to buy groceries was good for me. Marti had to pick up some stuff at Wal-Mart, and it was a good idea, because I found a dime and 2 pennies. Then at Randall's I found a dime in the Coinstar machine. Not bad, considering I thought that my day was done at 2 cents.

Today I also gave some thought to what I would do with the $100 when the race is done. I figure that I should do something just crazy with the money, considering it is all found. Currently my thought is to either;

• Go to Vegas, and put all $100 on 1 number in Roulette
• Buy 100 scratch off lottery tickets
