Day 256

I found 1 penny this morning at Arby's and then on the way out of work, I found 2 pennies in the parking lot.

The past few days we have been having serious Internet issues at home. We have a cable modem through Charter Cable. This summer, we had some issues with a weak cable signal, but got it all fixed up, and we have been humming along since then. Well on Monday, we started to get some fuzzy cable channels and the Internet was running real slow. It turns out it was an issue that Charter was having all around the greater Houston issue. I hate to admit it, but the last 2 days have been awful, as we struggle through slow a slow Internet connection and, last night, no Internet at all. I was irrated at work, and couldn't wait to get home to see if the problem was fixed.

It seems to be running alright now, but when I call the hotline, we are still listed as an area that they are working on. So I'm still not comfortable to say that we are out of the woods. It is scary how much we have become dependant on the Internet!

Total for the Day - $0.03
Total for the Race - $71.07

I'm sure Brian would back me up when I say that we can totally relate to this statement! Somehow these "little" things always stress a person out.

I feel SO SILLY that somthing as minor as slow or no internet at home is bothering me, but it is.

Once again this morning, we had some internet problems, and I was about to let it mess with my day again. But I am started to chill, and am trying to not let it bother me. It is just internet!
And you are right, it is one of the little problems, and I shouldn't let it bug me.

Try this, it couldn't hurt. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a cable repeater. We kept dropping our charter connection here until we did that. Works like a charm and no slow connections.

Tex,

Thanks for the info on the cable repeater. I will pick that up this weekend, and let you know how it works.
