Day 259

Marti and I spent most of the day around the apartment. We watched IU get destroyed in football against MSU. Then we watched The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which we now own since we have kept it from Blockbuster for over one week. It was a fun movie and a plesent way to spend 108 minutes.

We then got ready to go to a costume party, which was exciting because I had not been to a costume party since college. We went as Peanuts characters from the Great Pumpkin cartoon. I was Charlie Brown with my sheet filled with holes and my bag of rocks. Marti was Linus with her security blanket and "Welcome Great Pumpkin" sign. It was a good time, but the guy with the battery opperated inflated sumo suit took the honors as best costume. Although I enjoyed the wife dressed up as a Pumpkin and the husband dressed up as Peter Pumpkin Eater, complete with fork and spoon.

What was funny was the ONE person there who was not dressed up, because she felt so out of place. That is what is fun about costume parties, you are always taking a gamble on being TO dressed up, or in her case, the lone person who isn't into it.

After the party, thanks to numerous Jell-o and Goldschlager shots, we were ready for some Whataburger on the way home. This is where I made my first find, but it was after Midnight, so it must wait until Sunday.

Total for the Day - $0.00
Total for the Race - $71.34

What was Lance Berkman doing at your party? As we know from Astros trivia he once took BP dressed in a sumo costum. No pic. of your and Marti in your outfits. That's a bummer.
